Eat Real gluten-free snacks launch in Multipack format

Eat Real has launched two new multipacks of its most popular gluten-free and Vegan snacks in response to growing consumer demand for healthier lunchbox ingredients. The multipacks – one containing Eat Real’s best-selling Hummus, Lentil and Quinoa Chips in assorted flavours, and the other containing ’Kids’ Veggie Straws – offer consumers seeking a healthier option great choice, value and convenience.

Ferrero confirms changes to Nutella recipe

Ferrero, manufacturer of Nutella, has revealed that it has changed the recipe for the much-loved hazelnut spread. The new recipe contains more sugar and powdered milk. A German consumer association discovered the change after some consumers reported the spread had changed colour slightly. The share of skimmed milk in Nutella’s new recipe is 8.7%, up from 7.5%, while the sugar content has risen from a whopping 55.9% to 56.3%. The changes mean that two more expensive ingredients, cocoa and hazelnuts, have been reduced. Ferrero said the change was a measure to meet the tastes of consumers around the world.

Dairgold wins at SEAI Sustainable Energy Awards

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has revealed the winners of its Sustainable Energy Awards, including Dairygold, which won the Large Business Energy Management category, sponsored by ESB. The award was won for its energy management programme. To date, it has implemented numerous projects, including the largest biogas boiler installation in Europe. The majority of projects carried out were relatively low cost while delivering a quick payback. Annual energy savings of 7.67 GW and €300,000 in cost savings have been achieved to date.

Coca-Cola’s Christmas Truck Tour Returns to Ireland

The Coca-Cola Christmas truck and that oh-so-catchy jingle are as much a part of Christmas as any, so fans across Ireland will be thrilled to hear the Christmas Truck Tour is happening once again this season. Starting from 26 November, the famous truck will visit a total of 10 stops in Ireland and Northern Ireland. At each stop, the public will have the opportunity to take a complimentary souvenir photo with the iconic Coca-Cola Christmas Truck, and also a chance to experience a virtual sleigh ride through the forest and a festive version of Pass the Parcel.
