Chan Chan Spice Bag Seasoning Mix spices it up for take-home takeaway flavour

Kwanghi Chan’s ChanChan Spice Bag Seasoning Mix has been launched in a Korean Hot Pepper version, for a fuller flavour for a range of Asian dishes.  The original ChanChan Spice Bag Mix caused a stir when it launched, allowing people to make their own healthier at-home versions of the iconic Irish fast food dish! It is now available from even more retailers across Ireland, and will soon be joined by a spicier version with added Korean Hot Pepper.

Nestlé breakfast cereals to reduce sugar by 10% in Ireland within 18 months

Nestlé Breakfast Cereals, made by Cereal Partners Worldwide, has committing to a reduction of 10% of average sugar content across its cereal range by the end of 2018. This move will see around 225 million fewer teaspoons of sugar in the UK’s diet as part of an ongoing programme to reduce average sugar across the product portfolio. These changes will be achieved through a combination of reformulation and by growing the share of lower sugar variants. Since 2010, Nestlé Breakfast Cereals in the UK and Ireland has already reduced its average sugar content by 15% across the portfolio.

Esquires Coffee switches solely to ethical ‘One’ bottled water

One’ bottled water is now the sole bottled water brand for sale in Esquires Coffee’s stores throughout its network in Ireland, in a partnership that aligns with the ethical and community values at the core of Esquires Coffee. ‘One’ bottled water is by One Brand Ireland, a not-for-profit organisation that donates all profits to water-based causes in Africa. When people buy ‘One’ water, One Brand Ireland donates 100% of the profits to funding water projects in developing countries.

Teeling Whiskey Sizzles into Summer with Spirit of Dublin Summer Craft Fair

This Saturday July 8 will see some of Ireland’s most exciting artisan producers return to the Teeling Whiskey Distillery for the ‘Spirit of Dublin Summer Craft Fair’. The event will run from 10am-5.30pm and is free of charge for all attendees. 35 fine food & drinks producers will be popping up at this year’s summer event, showcasing their crafty creations under one roof with something for everyone. The Teeling Whiskey team will also be on hand to make sure visitors enjoy a delicious Irish whiskey with a sample of their carefully crafted cocktails.

Piccolo brings a taste of the Med to Irish parents

The baby food aisles are set to become a little bit more exotic this month as the Mediterranean inspired baby food brand Piccolo launches in SuperValu stores across the Republic of Ireland. Piccolo, which was created by mum of one Cat Gazzoli, launched in April 2016 and is already the UK’s fastest growing baby food brand with a projected turnover of £4 million. The brand launches its range of over 30 different products aimed at little ones from their very first tastes in SuperValu and Boots stores across Ireland from July.

ProU Yogurt Secures €200,000 Retail Listing with SuperValu

ProU Yogurt, a first-of-its-kind 100% Irish fortified yogurt, is now available at SuperValu stores throughout Ireland in an expanded retail listing worth €200,000. Produced at Killowen Farm in Co. Wexford using locally-sourced premium Irish dairy ingredients, ProU is the first yogurt product on the Irish and UK market fortified with protein, calcium and Vitamin D to help maintain bone and muscle health from mid-life onwards. The deal with SuperValu will enable ProU to strengthen its foothold in the Irish yogurt market, a sector estimated to be worth €260 million.
