Fulfil announces three-year deal with FAI

MBs - FulfilFulfil has been confirmed as the official snack sponsor of the FAI. The deal caps off an incredible year for the brand which, in 12 months, has grown into one of the key players in the Irish snacking category, selling over 15m bars in 2016. The news will be welcomed by Republic of Ireland players, who were a key part of the brand’s growth. The partership began with a simple comment from one player on his appreciation of the bars, which led to samples being sent to the team and it grew from there!

 

Mercurial year for Irish security company

This success also saw the company create 120 permanent jobs during the year through new and expanded contracts. In the past 10 years, Mercury has invested no less than £5 million, with little or no financial assistance from government, in the latest technology and training to provide innovative security solutions to a range of clients from lone workers to multi-national companies such as the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Lifestyle Sports, HMV and Smyths Toys.A long-term strategy of innovation and investment in technology has paid dividends for Mercury Security Management in the form of a record-breaking year for the security firm. The security company today revealed that 2016 sales increased by 32% year-on-year across all divisions of business. Top Oil hosts Connacht Rugby hospitality night for its Western Retail Network

MBs - Top OilTop Oil, Ireland, sponsor of Connacht Rugby, hosted a hospitality night for its western region retail network at The Sportsground in Galway during Connacht Rugby’s PRO12 clash at the grounds against its rivals, Zebre. The customer appreciation night, which was attended by over 100 of Top Oil’s key retail customers from across the Western regional network, was an entertaining evening for all guests, and featured a half-time penalty shoot-out with two competition winners from Top Oil’s Facebook page.

 

Top Oil appoints Tullogher local Enda Malone to the South-East region

MBs - Top Oil Enda Malone 1Also in the world of Top Oil, the company this week appointed Enda Malone as its new driver in the South-East region of Ireland. Malone will cover the areas of South Kilkenny, East Waterford and Wexford. Top Oil’s delivery team of 16 local drivers operates across the South East of Ireland and is part of the 65 Top Oil trucks delivering home heating oil to homes across the country as part of its nationwide network of depots.

 

C&C Group’s year-on-year operating profits remain level

C&C Group’s operating profit is expected to be in the region of €94-€96m for the 12-month period to 28 February 2017. Second half profit was broadly level year on year, despite the adverse impact of currency movements. FY17 volume performance in the three principal brands of Bulmers, Magners and Tennent’s was resilient and a significant improvement on FY16. Bulmers is expected to post volume growth of +3% for the full year. The company’s wholesale business stabilised in the second half of the year, but did not recover margin losses.
