Mace Ballyboughal is inviting customers to support its official HB Funday in conjunction with charity partner Down Syndrome Ireland by buying a slice of delicious HB ice-cream. The event takes place on Friday 8th of June from 12pm to 4pm.

The Mace Ballyboughal HB Ice Cream Funday party is about having fun and taking time out with family, friends, colleagues, while enjoying Ireland’s favourite ice cream and contributing much needed funds to Down Syndrome Ireland, Mace’s charity partner.

Each HB Fundays party makes a real and lasting difference to children with Down syndrome and their families throughout Ireland. The campaign is an integral source of funding for the development of Down Syndrome Ireland’s nationwide support services.

Retailer Joey Clarke said: “We want to encourage as many of our customers to join in so, if you’re in the area, pop into the store, buy a slice of delicious HB ice-cream for just €2 and support this wonderful charity.”

Mace sales director Daniel O’Connell is delighted by the enthusiasm with which Mace retailers and their staff have embraced the HB Fundays concept.

“The HB Fundays is a fabulous initiative and a fun way to enjoy some guilt-free ice-cream and give to this very worthy cause,” said Daniel.

This year Down Syndrome Ireland and HB Hazelbrook Farm hope to raise €350,000 from the HB Fundays campaign, with funds raised going towards educational support for children with Down syndrome.

MACE Ballyboughal provides employment for 14 staff locally and is open from Monday to Friday 7am-9pm; Saturday and Sunday 8am – 9pm.
