Gala Retail launches ‘Good 4 Me’ lunchtime concept
New lunch options including sandwiches, wraps and baps, all come in at less than 400 kcals

Offering choice to consumers, Good 4 Me is an exclusive lunchtime concept that’s been developed by Gala Retail, in conjunction with Ireland’s longest-established slimming and health organisation, Unislim.
Part of the ‘Your Choice with Gala’ initiative which launched at the 2015 Gala Conference, Good 4 Me will offer Gala shoppers healthier lunchtime choices, and the exclusive in-store concept has now started its first phase roll-out, with an initial 20 stores.
Good 4 Me is a range of lunch options, including sandwiches, wraps and baps, that consumers can feel good about as they all come in at less than 400 kcals.
Speaking about the new range, Fiona Gratzer, managing director of Unislim said: “Unislim has been at the forefront of healthy eating in Ireland for 44 years and we are thrilled to endorse this innovative range, and bring consumers flavoursome, healthy food that is convenient when you are on-the-go.”
Top Irish dietitian, Paula Mee, who helped advise on the new options, added: “Gala and its fresh food managers, have been working hard to get this right, and Good 4 Me is a delicious range of lunchtime offerings that shoppers can be assured are under 400 kcal, but not short on substance.”
The deli lunch offering includes fire-smoked BBQ turkey & spinach salad wholemeal baps; New York deli roasted beef specials and teriyaki smoked salmon and spinach wraps; all under 400 kcals.
Gala Retail’s fresh food managers, John Ireland and Ben McGinn, played an integral role in the creation of the range. Initially being introduced into 20 stores, it is planned that the Good 4 Me range will be rolling out gradually in stores nationwide.
