Innovative sugar free/no added sugar brand Free’ist picked up a gold award for its Sugar Free Caramel Crunch Popcorn at the prestigious Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards 2015.

The Belfast-based company entered the awards for the first time this year and won the gold award in the snacks category. The awards are the biggest competition for quality Irish produce on the island of Ireland. Over 2,500 products were entered into this year’s competition to win gold, silver and bronze awards in over 90 food and drink categories. Research has shown that the Blas accreditation has the highest recognition amongst Irish consumers and using the award logo on packs encourages shoppers to buy these products. It is their guarantee of a top quality Irish product.

Free’ist launched four popcorns flavours earlier this year to tap into the booming popcorn marketing. Alongside the brand’s award-winning Caramel Crunch there are also Sweet & Salty, Lightly Sea Salted and Nacho Cheese popcorn options available. On top of being sugar free or containing no added sugar, they are all gluten-free, low in calories, suitable for vegetarians and come in 60g – 130g bags.

For more information on Free’ist or to place an order, visit www.freeist.co.uk or contact 02890 267080.
