Dealz has announced plans to open 30 fashion outlets within its existing Irish stores next month. The Pep&Co “shop-in-shop” stores will create 120 jobs, the company said, while also bringing the popular food and household item retailer to new heights and a new customer base.

The first ten Pep&Co stores will open next month in the following locations: Blanchardstown, Kilkenny, Dundrum, Naas, Newbridge, Gorey, Athy, Finglas, Ballina and Castlebar. Twenty additional stores will open prior to the summer, at locations including Killarney, Galway, Letterkenny and Cork.

Prices on Dealz/Pep&Co’s fashion lines will begin at €1.50; the company says it aims to work in low margins on high volumes.

The announcement comes in conjunction with similar projects in Poundland stores in Ireland, the UK and France. More than 150 Pep&Co stores will open in the next 12 months in these locations.

“Who would have thought 12 months ago that we would be on our way to becoming a must-stop fashion destination,” observed Adrian Mountford, Pep&Co’s managing director. “We look forward to replicating this success in our Irish Dealz stores.”
