Discount retailer Dealz has celebrated a major milestone with the opening of its 60th Irish store; two new branches have debuted in Douglas, Cork and Clarehall, Dublin, creating 50 new jobs (25 in Cork, 25 in Dublin).

Discount retailer, Dealz has continued its expansion in Ireland with the opening of two new stores. Douglas, Co. Cork and Clarehall in Dublin are the latest regions to recieve a Dealz store, with 25 new jobs created in each.

Located in the Douglas Shopping Centre, the new Dealz in Cork measures 4,368 sqft, with the Clarehall location in Clarehall Retail Park, boasting a store 8,518 sqft in size.

Dealz Country Manager,

Darren Jones, Dealz country manager for Ireland said the comapny is delighted with these new additions to the network. said: “At Dealz, we are committed to bringing amazing value every day to customers with our €1.50 price point as well as creating local jobs for the area,” he said.

Since opening in September 2011, Dealz – part of the Poundland brand – has created over 1,200 Irish jobs across its 60 stores.

Meanwhile, Dealz’s charity partner is the Make-a-Wish foundation, for which it has raised more than €250,000 to date.
