Britvic Ireland has published its preliminary results for the year ending 2nd October 2016, citing revenue growth of 9.4% (to £131.7m) and volume growth of 3.6%.

“Britvic has delivered another strong set of results in challenging market conditions,” said Simon Litherland, CEO. “In our core markets, we continued to take market share with a particularly strong carbonates performance.

“We are confident we will mitigate inflationary input costs through a combination of revenue management activities and internal cost-saving initiatives,” he added.

The current positive results mark the sixth consecutive quarter of growth for Britvic. Along with the results, the compnay announced plans to acquire East Coast Suppliers Ltd., in order to form the second-largest licensed wholesaler in the market.

“The breadth of our portfolio, strength of our core brands and increasing innovation capability,” said Litherland, “means we are well-placed to adapt and evolve with consumer trends and customers’ needs that continue to change faster than ever before.”
