Bombay Sapphire scooped both Gold and Double Gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2017

Bombay Sapphire, the world’s number one premium gin has been awarded the prestigious Double Gold and Gold medal at the 17th San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).

Judged by a panel of 43 international spirits experts including Tony Abou-Ganim (director of judging), master-mixologist and one of the leading pioneers of America’s craft cocktail movement, the SFWSC is considered to be the most influential spirits competition in the world. 2017 was the biggest in its 17 year history, featuring more than 2100 entries.

The Double Gold designation at SFWSC is awarded to the very few entries that receive Gold medal ratings by all members of the judging panel – naming Bombay Sapphire as one of the finest products in the world.

Raj Nagra, Bombay Sapphire global brand ambassador said of the result: “Bombay Sapphire really is leading the resurgence of gin, and we are delighted that the ceaseless passion and endeavour that goes into creating our exquisite liquid, as demonstrated by our Master of Botanicals Ivano Tonutti who travels the world to hand-source our botanicals, has been recognised in such a prestigious competition.”

Bombay Sapphire is distributed by Edward Dillon & Co, whose sales office can be contacted on 01 8193300.
