Aldi is Ireland’s most reputable supermarket for a second year in a row, according to a new study by RepTrak, that rates companies across several indicators including products and services, innovation and citizenship.

The annual survey, which ratings agency RepTrak carries out annually, ranks the 50 largest and most visible organisations in the country. The results found Aldi is the third most respected brand in Ireland, and the highest-ranking supermarket. This research surveyed over 7,000 members of the general public in areas including consumers’ direct experience, product innovation, workplace and governance.

Aldi placed in the Excellent category after scoring 80.2%, based on levels of trust, esteem, admiration and good feeling towards the company.

Welcoming the survey, Giles Hurley, CEO, Aldi UK & Ireland said the company is immensely proud at the findings. “We are also delighted to be recognised for the contribution our CR projects have had in the communities our stores serve,” Hurley said. “These include our partnerships with FoodCloud, The Aldi Community Games, the Irish Cancer Society and Foróige, all of which have made a huge difference at both a national and local level.”
