The newly refurbished Aldi Future Store in Cobh, Co. Cork has received a full-make over and features an exciting new layout, including a new in-store fresh bakery. There is 40% more fridge space, a wide selection of fresh food at the front of the store and new signage that provides a more efficient and hassle-free shopping experience. The shop floor size has been increased by almost 50% to 1,254m² and there are 92 free customer car parking spaces available.

Since first opening in Cobh in October 2008, Aldi has become an established part of the town’s retail landscape, proving very popular with local shoppers for bringing greater competition, choice and value for money to Cobh.

The day was filled with family fun and festivities, with Red FM’s Red Patrollers providing entertainment and music for the kids and free product sampling.  Five lucky Aldi shoppers also scooped €100 each in Aldi shopping vouchers.

“The whole Aldi team is looking forward to welcoming customers from the locality, both existing and new,” he said. “The revamped Future Store is much larger and we are confident that our customers will find it provides a more enjoyable and spacious shopping experience. Each week, more and more Irish families are visiting our stores, making huge savings on their weekly shopping bill.”

Project Fresh will see Aldi invest €60m in revamping the layout and design of all 129 Aldi stores nationwide. 29 stores will be redeveloped by the end of 2017.
