Aldi sets out its stall for “The Ploughing”
As thousands descend on Tullamore, Co. Offaly for the 2017 National Ploughing Championships, Aldi's marquee will be waiting for them witih a range of exciting entertainment over the iconic three-day event.

Aldi’s stall at the 2017 National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, will provide visitors with three days of entertainment, to be provided by Irish country music star Mike Denver, Dancing with the Stars’ Karen Byrne and sports stars of current and prior generations. They will be present to support the Aldi Play Rugby and Aldi Community Games initiatives, while more than 35 of Aldi’s Irish suppliers will be on hand to tempt taste buds with a selection of the supermarket’s award-winning ranges.
Each day will see Denver take to the stage, while demonstrations, competitions and more fun will proceed around each of the participants and their presentations.
“We’re thrilled to be back as one of the main sponsors of this year’s National Ploughing Championships,” says Finbar McCarthy, group buying director at Aldi. “We’re very muchg looking forward to welcoming visitors to our marquee, which once again will be the destination of choice with a huge array of entertainment planned including demos, competitions and games.
“We also plan to share with visitors about the progress of many of the local and national community projects Aldi has supported in Ireland,” McCarthy added, “including the Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards, Aldi’s sporting initiatives and our partnership with Foodcloud.”
The National Ploughing Championship takes place for three days from Tuesday 19 September.
