Aldi has further increased its presence in Co. Kildare with the opening of its latest ‘Project Fresh’ store in Leixlip. A total of 20 new jobs have been created at the new store.

Featuring Aldi’s exciting award-winning Project Fresh layout and design, the new store boasts a large shop floor spanning 1,254m², 100 free car parking spaces, wide aisles and hi-spec fixtures and fittings.

Bringing great quality fresh Irish products and fantastic value to customers, the new Leixlip store is Aldi’s eighth store in Co. Kildare. Aldi now has a total of 131 stores in Ireland.

The new store is part of Aldi’s €160m investment in its Irish store network. Aldi has committed €100m to constructing and opening 20 new stores by the end of 2019, while Project Fresh sees Aldi invest a further €60m in revamping the layout and design of all its 131 stores nationwide.

Speaking at the store opening, Mark Mulvany, manager of Aldi’s new Leixlip store said: “We are delighted to open our new Leixlip store and look forward to welcoming many new customers from the local area. The Project Fresh design is much more spacious than a typical Aldi store and we are confident that our customers will find it provides a more enjoyable shopping experience.”

“Our commitment to our customers is we will never be beaten on price and will always provide the best value. Families can make huge savings on their weekly shopping bill by shopping at our stores,” Mulvany added.

Aldi is committed to growing its Irish supply base and increasing the number of Irish products available in its stores.
