Aldi has further increased its presence in Co. Clare with the opening of its latest store in Ennistymon, creating a total of 15 new jobs.

The new Ennistymon outlet, which is Aldi’s third store in Co. Clare, brings the discounter’s total number of stores in Ireland to 129. The first opened in November 1999.

To celebrate, Aldi is serving up tasty treats throughout the day, with samples prepared using Aldi products. The Clare FM team is on site playing music, with entertainers also providing face painting and balloon modelling for the kids. What’s more, the first 30 customers queuing outside the store received golden raffle tickets to win prizes in-store.

Speaking at the store opening, Declan Coyne, manager of Aldi’s new Ennistymon store said he looked “forward to welcoming many new customers from the local area.

“Aldi has grown in popularity across Ireland in recent years and we are pleased to make the quality, value and variety of our product ranges available to more people throughout Co. Clare,” Coyne added.

Aldi also took the opportunity to highlight its connections with Irish suppliers, pointing out that in the last five years it has recruited over 70 new Irish suppliers, with the result that it now partners with more than 175 Irish producers.
