The iconic and none-more-Irish National Ploughing Championship kicks off today in Screggan, Co. Offaly, and Aldi is making its presence felt with a jam-packed lineup at the Aldi marquee. 35 of Aldi’s Irish suppliers will be showcasing their produce, meaning guests will be able to spend the day sampling everything from award-winning sausages to mouth-watering ice cream and more.

Meanwhile, outside the marquee, Aldi’s newest initiative with the IRFU, Aldi Play Rugby, will take centre stage with Paul O’Connell holding rugby training drills, while 2FM’s Nicky Byrne and Jenny Greene will broadcast their show, which is sponsored by Aldi, live from 10am – 2pm.

TV3’s Ireland AM will also broadcast live from the marquee with Midday coming live from the main stage on Wednesday, and the Seven O’Clock Show highlighting the National Brown Bread Baking competition on Thursday.

Visitors to the Aldi Marquee are advised to get there early in order to get their hands on a complementary Stetson hat!
