Calling all homebrewers: Smithwick’s Homebrew Challenge is launched

Smithwick’s has teamed up with the National Homebrew Club to launch the first ever Smithwick’s Homebrew Challenge.  Homebrewers across the country are invited to create a Christmas ale and have it tasted and judged by an expert panel. Their Christmas ales will be sampled in selected pubs across the country, with the winner being voted for by the public, receiving a prize of €1,000.

To enter the Smithwick’s Homebrew Challenge, people must be over 18 and they can apply online at www.SmithwicksHomebrewChallenge.ie. Each applicant will be sent 100g of Admiral Hops to get them started, subject to availability.

The D.I.D Electrical Awesome Autumn of Sport promotion is a heavyweight and multi-platform cross station and in-store promotion, run in partnership with TV3, which was launched in mid-August and continues in-store and on air until 11 October. To date the promotion has proven one of the most successful promotions in the history of the channel. In a D.I.D Electrical / TV3 viewer competition, overall winner Damian Burke from Donabate in Dublin, scooped €10,000 worth of electrical equipment.

D.I.D Electrical is also running an extensive in-store promotion which sees customers enter into a daily draw for a 40 inch Samsung 4K Curved TV upon spending €100 in a D.I.D branch or online and subsequently following the competition registration conditions. However for this weekend only, D.I.D will reduce the entry level to purchases from just €20 and will also add a second Samsung 4K Curved TV into the mix each day. D.I.D Electrical will also give customers an extra 10% off both in-store and online purchases when customers spend €100 or more, this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
