Aldi has scooped an impressive 24 awards for it and its suppliers at the 2017 Irish Quality Food & Drink Awards, which took place this week in Dublin’s Clayton Hotel.

Among the winners were Aldi’s Specially Selected Black Angus Rib Eye Steak, Specially Selected Dry Aged Black Angus Strip Loin Steak, and Specially Selected Irish Buffalo Mozzarella.

Aldi also was awarded the Gold Q value award for its Oakhurst 6oz Beef Burger, while the Salmon Side with Lemon & Pepper Marinade was awarded the Christmas Q prize.

These and many more contributed to Aldi’s overall win, which group buying director Finbar McCarthy used to pay tribute to the supermarket’s suppliers and producers across Ireland.

“The Aldi team is focused on delivering the highest-quality products at the very best prices,” McCarthy said. “Our customers know it pays to shop at Aldi each week, and these awards are proof that it tastes better too!”
